Overview

God games allow players to take on the role of an all-powerful god. Their sim worshippers are usually simple or tribal in nature.

• Players will take on the role of Godlings - powerful newborn gods who control unique NFT planets. Living on these worlds are the Doods, cute and chubby creatures who like to have a good time but aren’t very bright.

Gameplay

As players progress through building and adventuring, the game unlocks additional features and gameplay at each stage, enhancing the complexity and entertainment value.

???? Overall, the game centers around three major feature elements:

Pillar 1 : God-Game Stimulation

Players will be in charge of Planets with unique biomes. Through powerful elemental miracles - nourishing rain storms, gentle breezes, raising mountains, and spontaneous fire - the player can grow a world to fit their divine plan.

Detailed steps:

• Initially, players need to buy a randomly generated planet (base planet)— either directly or from another player — Players soul inhabits the world’s EDEN (mysterious structures circulating on the surface of Planets). This makes you the god of that planet. Players who wish to experience the game can reach out to gaming guilds to get a FREE TO PLAY "Seed Planet".
• Using the EDEN, players can perform Miracles. Miracles shape the environment through the traditional elements of earth, water, air, and fire. Performing miracles help to grow the settlements and the evolve the planet itself!
• As the player levels up their EDEN, more powerful miracles and Planetary functions will unlock.

• Planets will have their own elemental type and Avatar combat class, giving the player access to a unique set of skill cards for strategic battle gameplay.
• Each Planet will also come with its own dungeon to explore, where the player can unlock additional Dood Apostle party members.
• Each planet comes with its own Doods (Apostle). The more Doods who worship you, the stronger you get, and the more you can do with the Miracles you perform.
• Once a player has garnered enough Dood followers, they can upgrade their Planets and summon their planetary avatar; this is when the game unlocks its action-adventure gameplay.

Pillar 2: Action-RPG meets Auto Battler

• Once the player reaches a certain stage, they can choose to take their Avatar and Apostles (Doods) and join in epic GvG battles, Raids against powerful world bosses, and competitive esports events.

???? Each Avatar will fit in one of the three classes below. The Avatar is a commander who provides useful buffs and powerful attacks on the battlefield. The appearance of the Avatar will depend on both the combat class and the elemental composition of the Planet.

Card-based Combat Skills

• The battle gameplay employs card-based combat skills. During battles, Avatars will have access to powerful Skill Cards drawn from a Combat Deck.
• As players succeed in defending, they will receive experience and rewards used to upgrade skills and build avatars according to their personal play style.
• Players will be able to customize the Avatar Skills in their Combat Deck for each encounter.

Although the card-game genre is relatively common in the current blockchain gaming community, it is not an exaggeration to say that Apeiron has elevated the card-game system to a new level with solid graphics and eye-catching effects that resemble those in high-budget titles in the traditional gaming market.

Pillar 3: Core NFTs (Planets - Stars - Relics)

Planets

Planets are where the main gameplay loop happens and are necessary to play Apeiron. Players have several ways to acquire their first Planet NFT:

1. Free to Play through Gaming Guilds.
2. Initial Planet Presale: Purchase a Primeval Planet - the “Gen 0” Planets that have never been bred before.
3. Purchase a Planet available on the marketplace.

???? Just like a pet in Axie Infinity or cyblocs in Cyball, planets here in Apeiron have a unique set of randomly generated traits that are inherited and mixed in later generations.

Stars (Total supply: 11,498)

Stars are similar to “Lands” in other NFT games and have attributes that will bestow bonuses to the planets orbiting them.

• Each Star comes with at least one orbital track for a planet. Planets must be “parked” in the orbital track to receive that Star’s benefits. Orbital tracks may be rented out to other players when not in use by the owner.
• Owners will receive bonuses from player activities.

Relics

• When a player initiates an Armageddon (a reset), players will be given the opportunity to convert some amount of their game objects into Relics (NFT). Relics may be Apostles, Equipment, Skill Cards, Cosmetics and even rare Planetary Wonders that might otherwise be lost during reset.
• These Relics may be installed into a Planet’s Relic Slot and activated in the next Planetary cycle.

Game Economy - How to earn

Play-and-earn gameplay loop: Planet development -> Armageddon -> Upgrade your Spirit Core -> Expand to other planets -> Planet development

You can earn through:

• Armageddon will produce a large amount of $ANIMA, the play-to-earn token and Soul Gems, which can be used to upgrade the player’s Spirit Core, providing permanent passive and active bonuses.
• Planet Breeding: or what Apeiron called Celestial Conjunction
• Daily gameplay reward $ANIMA (play-to-earn token)
• Arena & Events (Battle) earns both $ANIMA & $APRS (Governance Token)
• Alliance Gameplay (Galactic Arena) earns $RNGU (Alliance Token)

???? As the player continues to level up their Spirit Core, they will find they need more and more Soul Gems, requiring more and larger resets: in other words, a need to expand to other planets. In order to get more planets, they will have to become active on the Apeiron marketplace, thus reinforcing the play-and-earn economy.

• Apeiron Tri-Tokens and NFTs operate in tandem to mirror a functioning economy in which different players in different parts of the game will have varying incentives to interact with the system. Below is a chart that the Apeiron team assumes some types of players might interact with the game's ecosystem. Each roleplaying Doods will represent a corresponding type of player for the activities they normally perform in the respective role.

On the top will be the Star Owners, the Mass Planet Breeders, and the market aficionados, these will be the players who have heavily invested in the game from the start and have become leaders of their own Alliances.

Below them are the specialized players:

• The Pro Players will be PvP experts who have fully-fleshed out team for battle in the arena and who focus on making Apeiros, the governance token.
• Then there are the PvE experts who farm dungeons and develop planets to get the best high-end Relics. Speedrunners will focus on maximizing short and speedy cycles to generate more of our p2e currency, Anima.
• And finally, Socializers will chill out and chat with all the others, tying the community together as they proceed slowly at their own pace through the game.

Please keep in mind that this is only a model. Indeed, the economy will be considerably more volatile and dynamic. It's not only about the sorts of players this model can account for; it's also about how each player role naturally shifts between the types as they develop their own strategy for joining the game. But the most important thing, and the objective of both the team and the players, is to build a healthy and sustainable economy.

Team - Foonie Magus

• Based out of Hong Kong and founded in September 2020, Foonie Magus is a sister studio to Aither Entertainment, which has been around since June 2016. They share the same founders.

• Aither is focused on strategy games, led by the Acid Rain series, whereas Foonie Magus appears to be a blockchain-focused arm that counts Apeiron as its first title. The developer’s website talks of dedication to the Metaverse and a belief that P2E games will change the world.

  

• The good news is that Aither is a prominent developer team with experience making and deploying games, albeit in the mobile space. CTO Gem Ng claims to have launched “over 100 titles at least.”

Community

• The Apeiron team calls their community Doods, interacting through AMAs, Fan Tributes, Confessions, and especially the Social Feed, where Apeiron or the Doods themselves will share content created by the community. The game-related content is quite rich, such as game infographics (some are really good) or funny videos, since the visuals of doods in the game are quite cute.

• The Apeiron Twitter is aslso becoming more active lately, but the content is mostly focused on partner-related posts such as partnership announcements, AMAs, and airdrops. To participate in these activities, you must have either a Apeiron's Planet NFT or the Partner's NFT, which may narrow the audience, but offering incentives to NFT owners is good for building a sustainable community and reducing mercenary traders.
